Target audience

Stakeholders, including international organisations, NGOs, financial institutions, academic, scientific, social and economic partners.

Why we are consulting

To include the views of stakeholders in the preparation of the implementation report on whether technical measures both at regional level and at Union level have contributed to achieving the objectives and reaching the targets set out in the Technical Measures Regulation.

Consultation outcome

The contributions will be included in the implementation report prepared by the Commission. The reporting obligation of the Commission is described in Article 31 of the Technical Measures Regulation. The report shall assess the extent to which technical measures both at regional and Union level have contributed to achieving the objectives and reaching the targets set out in the regulation.

The targeted consultation will complement information supplied by Member States and the relevant Advisory Councils as well as scientific advice from STECF (Review of technical measuresPlenary report) and the advice on innovative gear from ICES
