The Orange-Senqu "Source to Mouth" Transboundary Campaign

The European Union Delegation to Lesotho in collaboration with its partners, ReNOKA and ORASECOM, will host a "Source to Mouth" Trans-boundary River clean-up campaign. This event will take place in the Orange-Senqu River Basin, spanning from the source of the Senqu River in Lesotho and to the river mouth in Namibia. 

The campaign's primary goal is to raise awareness about the detrimental impact of plastic pollution in water sources and how our daily habits can affect rivers and oceans. By addressing pollution at the source, we aim to make a positive impact on the health of water ecosystems.

The campaign will take place in Lesotho on the 21st & 22nd September 2023 and on the 5th & 6th October 2023 in Namibia. The clean up campaigns will be preceded by activations at local schools.
