Be part of the change! #ELIX #EUBeachCleanup

ELIX was founded in 1987 aiming at promoting volunteerism in Greece through organised forms of voluntary work focusing on the protection of the environment, the preservation of cultural heritage and the promotion of social cohesion.

As a hub with volunteers of all ages, ELIX will participate in the EUBeachCleanup campaign in cooperation with the Municipality of Piraeus and Dr. Alexandra Politaki, the Climate Pact Ambassador in Greece. After an info session on sea pollution and plastic waste we will map and clean-up the litter of the 'Votsalakia' beach in Piraeus. The Vice Mayor of Cleaning and Recycling, Mr. Panagiotis Repas and the Vice Mayor of Public Health and Social Services, Mrs. Kyriaki Bourdakou will attend the event.
