Beach and seabed clean-up in Dhekelia Sovereign Base Area, Cyprus

This activity is coordinated by the Dhekelia area office of the Sovereign Base Areas Administration (SBAA) in collaboration with the local environmental NGO Enalia Physis Environmental Research Centre and will take place in Dhekelia. This is the fourth consecutive year that this activity takes place and it involves volunteers from the SBBA military, policy and administration office, citizens from the sounding communities, divers from different SCUBA diving centres and scientists. Additionally, this year educational workshops will be conducted on site during the clean-up activity for primary school children to raise awareness about marine litter and its impact on the marine environment.
