Beach Clean-up in Enoshima

The EU Delegation to Japan will again participate in a beach cleaning event at Enoshima this year on International Coastal Cleanup Day, 16 September through the work of Japanese NGO “Umisakura” in an effort to raise public awareness of the problem of marine waste, particularly plastic waste, as a part of a broader, global initiative encouraged by the European Commission and the EEAS, in cooperation with the UN.

We expect to have 150 participants from the EU delegation and European Embassies based in Tokyo including 4 Ambassadors in addition to EU Ambassador.
