EUBeachCleanup in Cameroon

This beach clean-up will take place in Limbe beach, Cameroon. We will be working with 50 volunteers. Before the clean-up exercise a short educational message will be given why its important of keep the beach clean and how to contribute to this effort.

During a beach clean-up, volunteers are provided with gloves, trash bags, and other necessary equipment to collect and dispose of the garbage. They work in teams of 5 persons, scouring the beach for litter and waste, including plastic bottles, cigarette butts, food wrappers, and other debris.

Once the volunteers have collected the litter, they sort it into different categories such as plastic, glass, and metals, so that it can be properly recycled or disposed of, this data will be registered by a person in every group. plastics collected will be weighed.
