Dia da Limpeza Costeira

EUROPE DIRECT Alto Alentejo – Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre will locally join the EU BEACH CLEAN UP initiative. Since this year marks the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Accession of Portugal and Spain to the European Communities, this initiative will have a cross-border dimension, in partnership with Europe Direct Extremadura (Olivenza). So we will have participants from both countries, meaning students and teachers from Escola Secundária D. Sancho II (Elvas, PT) and from IES Puente Ajuda and Colegio Escuelas Parroquiales Sagrado Corazón (Olivenza, ES). It will take place on the banks of the Guadiana River, with each country cleaning its own riverbank, and at the end they will gather on the Portuguese side for a picnic.
