More spaja - #EUBeachCleanup Rijeka 2025

The second edition of "More spaja - EUBeachCleanup Rijeka 2025” will take place on 3 and 4 October at Preluk Beach, on the western edge of Rijeka near Opatija. Building on last year’s successful launch at Pećine, which was recognised as a best practice initiative on BELC’s official website and received wide national media coverage, this year’s event will once again gather schools, divers, and volunteers to protect the marine environment. 

On Friday 3 October, the action will focus on cleaning the coastline with the participation of volunteers from HKD Sušak and pupils from local primary and secondary schools. The following day, Saturday 4 October, divers from Croatia and neighbouring countries will join forces with volunteers to clean the seabed, coordinated by the Association of Special Police from the Homeland War “Ajkula.” Both days will open with a short ceremony and welcome remarks, inviting the community to contribute to this important effort for the preservation of the Adriatic.
