Team Europe Shoreline Cleanup in Ottawa, Canada

In a true #TeamEurope effort, the EU Shoreline Cleanup brings together the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, EU Member States Embassies and local partners, not only to protect our riverbanks, but also to raise awareness of our shared responsibility, solidarity, and the need to care for nature as a common good. Building on last year’s success, when participants collected over 100 kg of litter, we are proud to renew this initiative and reaffirm that environmental protection is both a local action and a global duty. The cleanup is the first in a series of events marking the launch of the Climate Diplomacy Weeks in Canada, which will also include a panel discussion with the National Observer, followed by an EU and OCAD U-commissioned Nuit Blanche projection mapping on the Canada Malting Silos in Toronto (4 October).
