Dia Internacional de Limpeza Costeira - Ação de limpeza de praia no Seixal

Europe Direct Madeira will organise a beach clean-up on 23 September at 10 am, at Praia do Cais do Seixal, in Seixal. The activity is supported by the Seixal Parish Council and the Geography Association. Participation in initiatives like the Seixal Beach coastal cleanup reinforces awareness that environmental preservation is a shared responsibility. These initiatives bring the community closer to the reality of waste, encourage behavior change, and demonstrate that every gesture, no matter how small, has a direct impact on protecting marine and coastal ecosystems. By involving schools, associations, citizens, and partner organisations, a collective movement is created that goes far beyond waste collection: it promotes education, active citizenship, and respect for the natural heritage that we all have a duty to care for.
