Inatel Praia Limpa

Info days

INATEL Praia Limpa initiative promotes cooperation between volunteers and organisations to protect the marine environment and raise awareness of marine litter. It encourages people to adopt more responsible and sustainable behaviours and to recognise the importance of healthy seas and oceans for both human well-being and the environment. Held annually in September, during the week of International Coastal Cleanup Day, the initiative brings together families, friends, colleagues, volunteers and partner organisations to take action for cleaner beaches and healthier oceans. On 26 September, the INATEL Foundation will organise another edition of INATEL Praia Limpa, as part of the celebrations of International Coastal Cleanup Day and the #EUBeachCleanup initiative. From 09:00 to 13:00, volunteers will come together at Óbidos Lagoon to help clean and preserve this important natural area, contributing to the protection of the coastal and marine environment. The initiative is part of the wider #EUBeachCleanUp and International Coastal Cleanup activities promoted in Portugal by the Oceano Azul Foundation. More than a beach-cleaning activity, it provides an opportunity for people to work together, demonstrate respect for the oceans and contribute to improving marine ecosystems, water quality and marine life.
