Description
ICES and the European Commission invite you to a special event at the ICES Annual Science Conference 2026 to discuss how to best adapt science and advice to support fisheries management in the context of changing ecosystems.
Marine ecosystems are changing, and with them the conditions in which fisheries operate and decisions are taken. Species are shifting, environmental variability is increasing, and managers are asking more of science than ever before. Scientists, the fisheries sector and policymakers will explore what fisheries advice should deliver by 2040, and what needs to change in the way evidence is produced, communicated and used in decision-making.
- When: Tuesday 15 September, 10.00-12.00 CEST
- Where: Le Quartz Congress Centre, Brest, France
- Participation: in person or via live stream on YouTube
- Registration
The event is part of the ICES Annual Science Conference 2026. The full conference programme is available on the ICES website
