Comoros

The partnership agreement adopted by Council Regulation (EC) No 1563/2006 of 6 October 2006 (OJ L 290, 20.10.2006) and subsequently tacitly renewed, was denounced by the European Union on 3 January 2019, pursuant to Council Decision 2018/757 of 14 May 2018 (OJ L 128/13, 24.5.2018). It was adopted following the inclusion of the Union of the Comoros on the list of non-cooperating countries in the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing. The denunciation was notified on 3 July 2018, taking effect 6 months later.
