Covid-19 response: Fisheries and aquaculture

Many parts of the EU economy have experienced major disruptions as a result of the pandemic.

Fishing and aquaculture have been among the hardest hit sectors, as demand saw a sudden decline. The Commission therefore took a range of temporary and targeted initiatives to address the challenges faced by the seafood community.
