The stakeholder event taking stock of the common fisheries policy (CFP) and the common market organisation (CMO) is taking place tomorrow, 10 June!

Follow the hybrid event live from 9:30

With participants in Brussels and online, the event will offer a unique opportunity to take stock of the functioning of the CFP and the common market organisation CMO,  discuss challenges and best practices with all relevant stakeholders working in the fisheries and aquaculture world.

This event closes the stakeholder consultation for the upcoming reports on the CFP and CMO, expected by the end of 2022. It will feature short presentations on relevant fisheries and aquaculture management and policy topics, followed by dialogue and discussions between the stakeholders. In addition to presentations from all three EU institutions (European Parliament, European Council, and the European Commission), you will hear about specific projects, innovation and collaborations on topics such as climate change, developing a fully monitored fleet, and using smart innovation in selective fishing practices, and more.

The implementation of the CFP and CMO is guided by the principles of good governance, taking into account regional specificities and with the involvement of stakeholders.
