#EUBeachCleanUp 2019: find an event near you and participate!

Want to shake off the work week and relive some of your holiday memories? Then why not go to a nearby beach and help clean it!

The #EUBeachCleanup campaign webpage now lets you find the beach clean event in your country. Events are spread over the coming months, but most will take place around Sunday 21 September, International Coastal Cleanup day.

The #EUBeachCleanUp is a campaign by the European Commission, the Smurfs and United Nations to create global awareness around plastic pollution of our ocean. It is coordinated by the Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime affairs and Fisheries (MARE). The beach clean events on our website are organised with the help of EU representations or delegations across the world. We are adding new events every day so check out regularly!

Curious what else the EU is doing to free our planet from plastic pollution? Have a look at our actions on single use plastics!
