Participate in the #EUBeachCleanup 2022 - a global campaign for clean, plastic-free oceans

Ocean - EU beach clean up

The #EUBeachCleanup campaign, co-organised by the EU, the United Nations and our blue friends, the Smurfs, every year in September, around World Coastal Cleanup Day, is key to raise awareness about marine litter.

Want to start off the post-holiday season by making an impact in your community and helping protect our ocean? Join in and organise your very own #EUBeachCleanup event!

This ocean-activism and awareness-raising campaign features beach, riverbanks, and various clean-up events across the world.

This year, in celebration of the 2022 #EuropeanYearofYouth, we are more than ever focusing on how to empower young people to become active in the campaign.

Our “How-To-Guide” will help you with the logistics of organising your own cleanup event, and the ActNow application will allow you to track your team’s efforts and successes.

This will be an opportunity for you to be a key player in raising awareness within your communities on the threat of marine litter in a worldwide campaign with the EU and the United Nations.

More importantly, thanks to you and your community, we will get closer to our goal of ridding our oceans of plastic pollution.

Help us turn this campaign into a wave of change.
