Register for the European Ocean Days in March 2025!

The Commission will host a week-long event to address the pressing issues facing the world's ocean. From 3 to 7 March 2025, the European Ocean Days will bring together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from various fields to discuss sustainable blue economy, fisheries science, and innovative solutions to ocean-related challenges. 

The European Ocean Days will feature a range of sessions, including the first Youth Policy Dialogue with Commissioner Kadis and the Mission Restore Our Ocean and Waters Forum. BlueInvest Day will be part of the event, bringing together investment and innovation in the blue economy. A seminar on fisheries and ocean science will close the week. 

The event aims to provide a unique platform for the exchange of ideas across diverse blue communities, discuss the challenges ahead, and explore innovative solutions to address the interconnected ocean issues. This year, the Ocean Days are a key component of the preparation of the Ocean Pact, a reference framework for all EU ocean-related policies.

The programme in a nutshell

- Young Voices for the Ocean: A dialogue between young ocean advocates and the Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans on Monday 3 March 2025. 

- Mission Ocean and Waters Forum: A showcase of innovative solutions developed under the Mission, on Tuesday 4 March 2025. 

- Fisheries and Ocean Dialogues: A collaborative discussion between stakeholders from the fisheries, aquaculture, maritime, and blue economy sectors, on Wednesday 5 March 2025. 

- BlueInvest Day: A platform for investment and innovation in the blue economy, on Wednesday, 5 and Thursday 6 March 2025. 

- Marine Knowledge for the Ocean Pact: A seminar on the latest advancements and challenges in marine data and observation, on Friday 7 March 2025. 

- Fisheries and Ocean Science Seminar: A dialogue on current and future science challenges, on Friday 7 March 2025.
