Register now: EU Arctic Forum and Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue (Brussels, 10- 11 November)

On November 10 and 11, the European Commission and the European External Action Service will host the EU Arctic Forum and Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue.

Hot on the heels of the recently adopted Arctic Joint Communication, panel discussions during this conference will zoom in on key subjects such as International Cooperation in the Arctic, Climate Change, Environmental Challenges and Sustainable Economic development. The Indigenous Peoples‘ Dialogue on 11 November will discuss how to foster inclusive policy and youth involvement for a peaceful, sustainable and prosperous Arctic.

The event brings together key Arctic players and stakeholders to assess recent developments in the region and discuss challenges ahead, provides a strategic outlook for the updated EU Arctic policy and addresses topics that are of particular significance to the Arctic’s inhabitants and the world as a whole.

The forum will feature Vice-president of the European Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr Josep Borrell Fontelles, Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, Commissioner Mariya Gabriel for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Mr. Pekka Olavi Haavisto.

Registration to attend in person is still open. The event will also be webstreamed.
