What future for the blue economy? Your opinion counts: participate at the stakeholder consultation (deadline 7/12/2020)

The European Commission is in the process of shaping a new comprehensive approach to the blue economy. A stakeholder consultation on the future of the blue economy is currently underway and open till 7 December 2020.

To launch the stakeholder consultation on the future of the blue economy, on 27 October 2020 the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MARE) held a webinar with more than 300 blue economy stakeholders.

Representatives of maritime clusters, NGOs, scientists, regions and finance experts presented their outlooks on challenges to tackle and opportunities to grab towards a sustainable blue economy, contributing to an interesting interactive debate opened by Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Virginijus Sinkevičius.
