The Food Fish Farmers Association (Matfiskodlarna) of Sweden is the country’s leading aquaculture association, uniting producers across the country who produce up to 20,000 tonnes of fish annually.
Supported by the EU, Matfiskodlarna launched a revamped, user-friendly digital knowledge hub in January 2025 to provide producers, policymakers, researchers, and the public with reliable, up-to-date information on regulations, research, innovations, and sector news. It also demystifies aquaculture for new entrants and raises public awareness, strengthening collaboration and sustainable growth. The platform features educational content, sector updates, and networking opportunities, with plans to expand into sustainability and practical aquaculture techniques, supporting Sweden’s next generation of fish farmers.
