Equipping fishing vessels to improve catch quality

The main outcome of the project was the purchase of innovative technology to improve the quality of catches of sardines, anchovies and other small pelagic fish. Using pumps instead of nets to harvest the catch increases the amount of premium-quality fish landed because the catch is handled more gently. The pumps and on-board fish handling systems are innovative and not yet widely used in the Croatian fishing industry. They are suitable for fish weighing from 10 g up to 1 kg.
