Increasing sustainability of a fish farming centre

The investments included a solar power system, an electric vehicle charging station and a waste dehydrator. The project also encompasses educational programmes and the installation of information boards to inform the public about the benefits of sustainable aquaculture. 

This initiative is expected to create a new job, as the plant’s energy-efficient methods and educational efforts will drive the development of new products. In its second phase, the project will offer educational opportunities to vulnerable groups and the general public, focusing on sustainable aquaculture, environmentally friendly practices, and the importance of a healthy, socially equitable diet that includes freshwater fish.
