Above the Czech village of Křtěnovice, south-east of Prague, a stream flows past several old ponds. This project aims to dredge and renovate one of the ponds and build a new aquaculture unit to support fish breeding. The company operates around 30 ha of aquaculture ponds in total, and the project will increase production of carp and other fish for the restaurant trade. The added water storage capacity will also help to mitigate the risk of both drought and local flooding.
